2017 Spitz Prize Winner Announced

The Spitz Prize Committee has chosen Wendy Brown’s Undoing the Demos: Neoliberalism’s Stealth Revolution as the winner of the 2017 David and Elaine Spitz Prize. The Committee was comprised of Mary Dietz (chair), Jill Frank, and Melvin Rogers. For more information, see here.

CSPT announces the call for the 2017 David and Elaine Spitz Prize. The deadline for submissions is October 01, 2017. More information about the Prize and the procedure for nominations is available here.

APSA Reception, 2015

CSPT is hosting a reception at the annual meeting of the American Political Science Association (APSA). It will take place at 7:30PM on Thursday, September 03, 2015, at the Embarcadero Meeting Room of the Parc 55 San Francisco. The winner of the 2015 David and Elaine Spitz Prize shall be announced at the reception and attendees will be able to sign up for membership for the 2015-2016 cycle. This event is open to everyone, and we encourage members and friends to bring colleagues who may wish to learn more about the organization. More details are available here.

2014 Spitz Prize Winner Announced

The 2014 David and Elaine Spitz Prize was awarded to Philip Pettit for his book, On the People’s Terms: A Republican Theory and Model of Democracy. The announcement was made at CSPT’s reception at the annual meeting of the American Political Science Association. For more information, see here.
